DESCRIPTION: Black Jamaican Chinese media entrepreneur Paula Williams Madison recalled that her mother Nell said she was separated from her Chinese shopkeeper father Samuel Lowe at age 3 and never saw him again. Born in Jamaica in 1918 to Samuel Lowe (Lowe Ding Chow) and Albertha Campbell (a young Jamaican woman), Nell Vera Williams always said that she never knew her father's people. To honor her mother, who died in 2006, Paula vowed to find her Chinese grandfather's descendants in China.
